2 Montrose Terrace
a favourite gay bar, has good
beer, the music’s quiet enough to hear people talk, it’s friendly etc
17 Albert Place
This is a gay cabaret bar with all it means – there are drag acts on most nights. It does seem quite friendly
though (I’ve only been in a couple of times)
The Claremont – Absolutely Dragulous

I’m including this for the sake of completeness. I have reservations about it. In fact there’s something about it
that puts my back up. Others may like it though
